Syrian, from Daraa; seeking Undergraduate degree in Software engineering and is enrolled at Zarqa University.
My name is Ghaida Al-Jalam, and I am a 19-year-old girl from Syria living in the Zaatari camp in Jordan. I arrived at the camp when I was 8 years old and grew up here. My mother is an art teacher and the breadwinner of our family. Due to her declining health, my older brother had to leave school and work to support us.
I completed high school and aspire to be the first in my family to attend university. After high school, I didn't remain idle; I pursued my career by learning Photoshop, computer skills, photography, and various technology-related courses. I created content on social media and garnered millions of views, despite limited resources and internet access.
In the twenty-first century, anyone, regardless of their circumstances, can work, innovate, and produce, especially with the availability of the internet. Technology has revolutionized many fields, including agriculture, medicine, and industry, leading to significant progress. This underscores the importance of these fields.
I have always had a passion for technology and the internet, and I am eager to expand my knowledge in this area. I hope to study software engineering and develop applications and websites that create job opportunities for disabled individuals. By providing remote job opportunities, I aim to help improve livelihoods and foster personal development.
Why Would Donors Fund You?
I deserve this opportunity because I seek success, independence, change, and making a difference that benefits society
In the future, I plan to work on applications and software that help blind and deaf people use technology and the Internet. Your support encourages me to commit to and continue achieving my goals and dreams.
How Do You Plan to Payback?
I am very grateful. I assure you that I will work hard to honor this opportunity by committing to my studies and giving back to the community. I hope that one day I will be able to help students achieve their goals just as you helped me. I will work to dedicate part of my time to helping students in the fields of the Internet and technology. This opportunity is not just financial assistance. Not only is it a motivational force for me
Thank you for your generosity and trust in my capabilities
