Palestinian, from Gaza; seeking Professional Post Graduate degree in Digital marketing and is enrolled at Istanbul Technical University.
They say: "Those who are scared of climbing mountains will live in valleys forever.'
My name is Nedaa Abu kwaik, age 36. I have a degree in social work from the Islamic University of Gaza. My forced marriage, lasted for thirteen years, during which I had three children. But one day, I rejected this injustice, choosing dignity and freedom for myself and my children.
Leaving my abusive husband after a violent incident, I filed a complaint with the police, hoping for an end to the torment. Yet, he threatened to withhold access to our children unless I returned. Determined, I found ways to see them, despite his threats.
My world shattered when my husband called my father and divorced me. My children cried and begged me not to leave them. I echoed the verse, 'Indeed, we belong to Allah and indeed to Him we will return.'
Despite the darkness, I attended various training courses. I searched social media in my field of specialization in search of job opportunities but was unable to find any. Afterward, I applied for a marketing position with a West Bank-based company and found a vacancy for a digital marketer. Both my daughter and youngest son perished in a bombing, leaving only my eldest.
Determined to rebuild, I seek to leave Gaza and pursue further education in digital marketing. I need $5500, and I thank you in advance for your kind support.
Why Would Donors Fund You?
I overcome a forced marriage, abuse, and unimaginable loss. But I refuse to be defined by hardship. My determination is unwavering. When donors invest in me, they invest in resilience, in the future of my son, and in creating change for women facing similar struggles.
How Do You Plan to Payback?
The education I gain will empower me to help other women in my community break free from hardship. My skills will let me secure better work, support my son, and stand on my own feet.
Badra Almethiab
Good luck Nedaa!
