Syrian, from Homs Syria; seeking Undergraduate degree in Biomedical engineering and is enrolled at Lebanese International University.
My hard working journey is shaped by resilience and determination, rooted in my family’s experiences of war, migration, and enduring hardship. From the impact of the Lebanese revolution and the COVID-19 pandemic to the devastation of earthquakes and the Israeli occupation, each event has tested our strength. Amid these trials, pursuing my education and simply continuing each day is an achievement I hold with pride.
At the heart of my story is my father, a man of sixty with a heart condition who works tirelessly in physically demanding jobs, like clearing rubble and lifting rocks. His mantra, “live today with our strength and leave tomorrow to its pain,” has been my guiding force. Despite our circumstances, he has always supported my ambitions and pushed me to persevere.
As the eldest in my family, I help support my father and younger siblings, which has deepened my commitment to making a difference. Driven by my love for learning, I excel in subjects like math and chemistry, where I embrace problem-solving and discovery. My education is more than a means to a better future; it is my passion and a source of joy. These experiences have inspired me to volunteer and expand my social circle, driven by the belief in equality, compassion, and the principle of give and take
Why Would Donors Fund You?
I embody resilience and hope. My journey has shaped me into a passionate learner and a dedicated leader for my family and community. With your support, I can continue my education and uplift others, turning challenges into opportunities and inspiring change for those around me.
How Do You Plan to Payback?
After graduating in biomedical engineering, I plan to give back to my community by developing affordable healthcare solutions. I aim to establish workshops focused on health education and medical device training for underprivileged communities. Additionally, I will collaborate with local clinics to improve access to healthcare technologies. By leveraging my skills, I hope to empower others, inspire innovation, and foster a healthier, more resilient community. My goal is to create a sustainable impact that uplifts those less fortunate and inspires future generations to pursue STEM fields.
