I told you there will be a tomorrow!

Palestinian, from Palestine; seeking Undergraduate degree in Multimedia technology and is enrolled at الكلية الجامعية للعلوم التطبيقية.  

I am Mahmoud Al-Masri, a-21-year old Palestinian from Gaza, pursuing a degree in Multimedia and Graphic Design at what was known as the University College of Applied Sciences, now turned into a pile of rubble.

I was a diligent, and active student. I finished my first semester with an average of 92.2% and my second semester with an average of 91.2%. My second year came to a stand still towards the first semester when the war broke out. In addition to seeking an undergraduate degree, I also sought a diploma in graphic design.
I was planning to be a successful and creative designer, and continue to hope that my perseverance pays off.

We have been displaced about 8 times since the October 7 2023. Having lived through scenes of death and destruction, I sometimes
think I cannot recognize myself in a mirror - not that I have seen one for the past year and a half.

I need your support in paying for my tuition and internet fees now that we have returned to e-Learning.

I am half way through my journey. I hope I can with your help get to the end of the road.

Why Would Donors Fund You?

Gaza is going through war now and many universities and colleges stopped. So, I want to complete my study abroad my country and the other reason is my family financial situation dose not allow to me to study outside. Also I do not forget my Mom what she did to cover my college fees, she took a debt from my aunt every semester I studied and she sold her gold ring I promised myself to give her back from the work's money when I get one.

How Do You Plan to Payback?

I will pass down the skills and knowledge I acquire to others using social media. I will present webinars, following in the footsteps of my teachers.

Volunteer Work/Social Capital

• I volunteered at my college. I organized events to meet new students.
• I co- produced a promotion video for the college.
• I designed a poster for the Theater Day Institution to display at the inauguration of the new building, and designed a a friend's portfolio cover.

• Cambridge Advanced English programme 12 levels.
• Diploma in Graphic design and Motion graphic with Theatre Day.
• Empowering Palestinian youth with Man-centre.

• A 3-hour workshop in Freelance and Entrepreneurship.
• I worked in a supermarket, and gained valuable experience buying, selling, and dealing with goods and distributors.
• I gained valuable information through networking in the field of Graphic design.
