Palestinian, from Gaza city - aldaraj neighborhood; seeking Undergraduate degree in Mechatronics Engineering and is enrolled at Alazhar University - Gaza.
I am Ahmed Al-Kurdi from Gaza, Palestine. I have a Bs.C in mechatronics from Al-Azhar University.
That will only happen if I pay the $3700 USD I owe to the University.
I chose mechatronics because I believe in eduction for employment. I also believe that technology and artificial intelligence will be a part of our future.
I want to be part of this future.
I was the third child to go to college. My sister was in medical school and brother in English accounting. He took that extra burden upon himself, and the day I graduate was a day I will never forget.
I saw my father's tears of joy mixed with pride when I graduated. I remember when I asked him that I too would like to go to college and he could not find it in him to say no. Here I am, a graduate and hoping to make a difference in the lives of those around me.
Why Would Donors Fund You?
I intend to develop a GPS guided devise that can lead rescue teams to survivors buried under the rubble after airstrikes. Those devices could be worn, installed in shelters or be part of an emergency kit that could be distributed to the people of Gaza.
I am a passionate and ambitious young man and have many goals that I want to pursue.
I consider knowledge a trust that each of us must pass on to others.
Education is community service.
I will pay back with interest.
How Do You Plan to Payback?
One day, I will open an applied educational institution to develop students'
personal and practical skills to qualify them for the labor market directly after graduating.
I suffered from this problem for a while due to the large gap between the
educational curriculum in universities and the practical aspects of market
Today I am a student, but tomorrow I am a benefactor, so I am very happy to volunteer with
edSeed and help students get the opportunity I got.
